Volunteers contribute enormously to the work of the medical museums in many different ways, from engaging with visitors, to supporting the work of the curatorial and education staff. The museums are very lucky to have a fantastic range of people who volunteer for them. Many volunteers have specialist knowledge of medicine and health care, having worked in the profession themselves; others have little subject expertise but have a wealth of experience within education or administration.
