Volunteering

 

We are always interested to hear from enthusiastic people who wish to help out at the Museum. Full training will be provided for anyone willing to help out.

Thanks to fantastic work already completed by GMMM's dedicated volunteers, we nearly have a full collections inventory and we will shortly begin the process of comparing early collection documentation (created by George Marshall) to ascertain the origin of as much of the collection as possible. This is a crucial aspect of the Museum's activities.

 

Current volunteering opportunities

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with Collections Management and documentation of all collections, and the Museum's learning provision. All our volunteering opportunities are ideally suited to students wishing to gain additional work experience before applying for A-Levels or further education, for those interested in a career within the heritage sector, or for interested parties with time on their hands!
