Park Life: Medical Tour of Worcester's Gheluvelt Park

Gheluvelt Park and the Museum have teamed up to offer a fascinating walking tour of this beautiful park

at 11.30am on Friday 7th May.

In this short walk, come and explore the nineteenth-century history of public parks and discover why

town planners and health reformers of the time thought public parks were essential to the health of

Worcester’s residents. Come and discover that parks are now a permanent reminder of our aim to

improve the nation’s health through increased urban public spaces.

The tour will meet at the Pump House Environment Centre at Gheluvelt Park and refreshments will be

provided after the tour at the Sons of Rest building. Contact Claire Jones at the museum on 01905 760738

to book a place or for more information.
