Museo Zoologico la Specola, Florence - an absolutely breathtaking collection of wax anatomical models in the zoological museum in Florence (south of the river, near the Pitti Palace)
www.imss.fi.it/ - Insitute and Museum of the History of Science, Florence. Contains some wax models, pharmaceutical equipment, and multifarious items of medical kit. The majority of this display is closed for refurbisment at the moment (or was in October 2008) so it is worth checking the website before visiting
