Opening times

We are open Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm. Unfortunately we are closed on Bank Holidays, but our Curator is happy to open the museum in the evening and at weekends for pre-arranged groups. Please click on the following links for booking information or contact us for more information.

Accessibility

The Museum is situated on the ground floor of the Charles Hastings Education Centre and is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is disabled parking at the front and to the rear of the building in which the Museum is housed and access is via a ramp from the front. The Museum and Lecture Theatre are both fitted with induction loops and we have written scripts for our audio activities.

Getting here...

The Museum is located on the ground floor of the Charles Hastings Education Centre at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Newtown Road.

Why not come along on your bicycle? There are racks at the main entrance to the main building at the hospital.

...by bus

The 31 and 31B First bus services run between the hospital site, the city centre and the University Henwick Park site in St Johns (over the river Severn). If catching a bus from the bus station, ensure you catch a 31/31B going to the Royal Hospital and not the University. Bus details change regularly so please check the County Council bus timetable website for current information: http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/transport-and-streets/transport/bus/bus-timetables.aspx

...by car

All visitors to the Museum can access free parking onsite in the Charles Hastings Education Centre car park. If you are part of a group visit or a smaller party, our Curator is happy to arrange this for you.

...by train

The nearest train stations are Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill. It is possible to catch a bus to the hospital site from nearby either of these stations, and there is a taxi rank outside both as well.

Make a day of it

Why not combine a trip to the George Marshall Medical Museum with a nice stroll through Worcester Woods Country Park? You can explore the two nature reserves, open fields and the visitor centre. The park is only a five minute walk away on Wildwood Drive.
