Learning opportunities for adults
If you are an adult or a group of adults with an interest in the History of Medicine there are plenty of ways in which we can help you get the most out of your visit. There is always something to see in the Museum, and we have an informative audio tour as well as podcasts loaded onto iPods with attached iTells for visitors with visual impairments (both are free of charge to visitors, but please get in touch to ensure an iPod and iTell are available when you plan to visit). Click here for more information about accessibility.

If you would like to come with a group, please let us help you to organise the best possible visit. We can arrange a guided tour, a handling session with objects from our designated Education Collection, or even a workshop or talk based upon your group's medical interests. In the past, we have spoken to groups about subjects such as the 'science' of phrenology, Powick Lunatic Asylum, and the history of women in the development of medicine. If you have an idea for a new topic, please get in touch as we are keen to work with groups to develop more.

Heroes of Medicine
We have a short film (about 25 minutes), 'Heroes of Medicine', which provides a good introduction to key events in medical history. If you would like to view the film you will need to pre-book with us. Charges apply.
